Here are a few recent tearsheets from Runner’s World. The first is the Rave Run from the current (June 2012) issue with my ladyfriend Emily and her stankdog Riley running in Valley of the Gods, Utah. The second is the cover of the 2012 Runner’s World wall calendar also featuring Emily (sans rothund), this time on an oceanside trail in Goa, India.

I left the house at 2:30 this morning to make a gamble on a 30% chance of weather. Guess what happened.

2012 Ascent Magazine Article Outtakes

Dave McAllister bouldering at the Secret Garden on Koh Tao, Thailand
Back in February of 2008, Dave McAllister and I took a trip to Laos and Thailand to climb on some rocks. I won’t tell you that there was a lot of climbing done, but if you like reading about drinking and hives, check out our article in the 2012 issue of Ascent magazine. Ascent has been published off and on since 1968 and aims to be an annual, feature-driven climbing journal. I’m both befuddled and honored to be a very small part of that tradition.
